Our Programs

Our Indoor and Outdoor Programs are educational programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework. The aim of this Framework is to extend and enrich Children’s Learning from birth to five years and through the transition to school.

A view of Children’s lives have been characterized by ‘Belonging, Being and Becoming’.

Belonging.

Knowing where and with whom you belong. Children belong to a family first, then the wider community. It acknowledges children’s interdependence with others and the basis of relationships in defining identities.

Being.

Recognises the significance of the here and now in children’s lives. It is about the present and them knowing themselves, building and maintaining relationships with others, engaging with life’s joys and complexities and meeting challenges in everyday life.

Becoming.

Reflects the process of rapid and significant change that occurs in the early years as young children learn and grow. It emphasizes learning to participate fully and actively in society.

As Educators, we provide our programs to facilitate and support the development of your child in all areas. We use the Principles, Practices and Outcomes within the Framework to guide decision making and assessment to promote your child’s learning.

Our program allows staff to Plan and implement learning through play, use intentional teaching methods, be responsive to children, enable successful transitions, support children in achieving Learning Outcomes and to provide your child with the skills they need for Primary School.

Koala Room

In the Koala Room, we have children aged from 3-6 years. Our program is broad as to accommodate the needs of each individual child. It is a play based program that facilitates learning that stimulates and develops each child’s social, emotional, physical, cognitive, language and creative development. The children are also encouraged to explore the natural environment and be active outdoors.

Each child has the opportunity to freely select experiences and express interests to contribute to the program. Our program allows staff to Plan and implement learning through play, use intentional teaching methods, be responsive to children, enable successful transitions, support children in achieving Learning Outcomes and to provide your child with the skills they need for Primary School.

Penguin Room

In the Penguin Room we cater for children from 6 weeks to 3 years of age. This vast age gap allows the children to interact with each other in a family grouping setting, which also includes the Preschool children in the mornings and afternoons. The program for the Penguin Room is play based and focuses on all areas of early development such as social, emotional, physical, cognitive, language and creative development.  We also focus on sensory experiences in the nursery, which is important in Early Development.

The program is appropriate for the individual development levels and needs of all children. The children are provided with many opportunities to freely select experiences and staff have a focus on interest based learning, so your child’s interests will be reflected in the program. We have a separate exploration area for our newborn and crawling babies to have some quiet time when needed, to stimulate sensory play and small and large muscle movements.
